Have you ever considered the impact that the food you choose to feed your pet has on the planet? Like most of us, do you think it's probably pretty negligible?
What if I told you that a quarter of all meat produced in the United States is being fed to dogs and cats and as a result, about 25-30% of all the greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impacts associated with meat production are due directly to pet food! I’ve spoken before about the importance of sustainable pet ownership, and diet is probably the most important change we could all make.
At the same time though it is important we continue to research and optimize the quality of what we feed our pets, to ensure the best health possible for the dogs and cats that share our life.
