Michael Arnstein has been a competitive runner from a young age and has always experimented with changing his diet to see if it would improve his performance and help him to lose weight.He became a vegan because of ethical reasons and later decided to try the high fat raw approach.  After finding many downsides to that way of eating he gave up on a raw vegan diet until coming across the 80/10/10 Diet, a book that his wife encouraged him to read.His running performance improved immediately and he went on to run the 5th fastest time for an American at the 100 mile distance in 12 hours 57 minutes.
