The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville kick-started its own care redesign process in 2008. The goal of the ongoing work is to transform its delivery system to disease specific, evidence-based, patient-centric plans that span entire episodes of care.

In this podcast, Julia Resnick, senior program manager for Strategic Initiatives with AHA, explores those questions and others with Joe Landsman, president and chief executive officer at The University of Tennessee Medical Center; and Dr. James Shamiyeh, senior vice president and chief quality officer at UTMC.
