Jerry B. Brown, Ph.D., is an anthropologist, ethnomycologist and award-winning educator. He is Founding Professor of Anthropology at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, where he has taught a course on “Psychedelics and Culture" since 1975 - the first college course on psychedelics in the world. With his wife Julie, a psychotherapist, he is coauthor of The Psychedelic Gospels: The Secret History of Hallucinogens in Christianity, which was published in 2016 and which we’ll talk about on this episode.
