Let's wrap up 2021 with a bow. Presenting the JRPG of the Year for 2021 and look ahead to all the confirmed releases for 2022. What a year for our genre it was!
First some news: Relayer has a worldwide release date now. It was the original goal for the developers and they'll achieve the goal on March 24, 2022. Dragon Quest X Offline has been delayed to summer in Japan. Does this increase the small chance we will get it in the west? We have a small update on Final Fantasy XVI. In the fact new news is coming in the spring. It was reported development is currently 6 months behind schedule due to corona virus. Let's hope spring brings good news!
After a few more short stories, lets talk game of the year. So many great JRPGs were released in 2021 it was hard to choose a winner. I'll go over all the major titles and short list of nominees. The thumbnail gives a hint as to the winner. To wrap up the show, I'll go over every confirmed 2022 title and a few maybes. While not as strong as 2021, next year has plenty of promise!
