Beverley and Felix have been in Carlisle for a while now and life has settled into a nice routine. Story Girl has decided she wants to persuade Peter to go to church and has to listen to the girls’ arguments against it. When they are out in the pasture she tells another story to the group, specifically Felicity, about not being too proud!

The Story Girl was one of the books which inspired the Canadian television series Road to Avonlea and follows the adventures of a group of young cousins and their friends who live in a rural community on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Written by Lucy Maud Montgomery, a Canadian author best known for a series of novels beginning in 1908 with Anne of Green Gables.
