A big news item from Day 7 was that Russell Wilson missed his first day of training camp in his career. But it was for good reason as he was off attending his grandfather's funeral. He's set to return for Saturday's mock game in Bothell. Justin Britt was on the podium to talk about how different it was without Russell there and also to talk about the potential that Poona Ford has to become a top NFL nose tackle. Paxton Lynch followed Britt and talked about what he learned from two full seasons with the Broncos and the difference in the atmosphere from Denver to Seattle. Geno Smith closes out the show by talking about leading the first-team offense in Russell's absence and how he's approaching the competition for the backup role.
