In this episode, I interview Dr. Anita Johnston, author of one of my all-time favorite eating disorder recovery books, Eating in The Light of The Moon. We talk extensively about how our relationship with food can give us clues as to what we each need in order to heal. As an Eating Psychology Expert, she walks us through the difference between physical & emotional hunger and what we need to do to address all of our needs. Using metaphors and storytelling, Dr. Johnston brings a new perspective to the podcast. We also explore the Masculine & Feminine energies (not to be confused with gender) in our culture and why that is a huge contributing factor for the rampant nature of Diet Culture.
