Interfaith-ish

What does religion look like at the Smithsonian? How do we hold on to authenticity and reverence in a museum context?

Jack speaks with Dr. Olivia Cadaval, the recently retired curator and chair of Cultural Research and Education at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage; and Rev. Teddy R. Reeves, the specialist of religion at the Smithsonian National Museum of African-American History and Culture.

We discuss tensions and triumphs presenting Latino religious rituals at the annual folk festival, NMAAHC's outstanding gOD-Talk series, and building a legacy for a new generation of researchers and curators.
