*Recorded earlier this year - stay home and safe, everyone*
Forever obsessed with 2000s pop groups, Joel and David get into "Popstars" Australia acts Bardot and Scandal'Us. The groundbreaking TV series shook the music industry and paved the way for UK bands like Girls Aloud, Hear'Say, Liberty X - but better yet, introduced Joel to his new Aussie fave: Jackie O. It's the Y2K reality show binge you need in lockdown. Watch now on our YouTube playlist: https://bit.ly/RBAYPopstarsOz

Bardot's journey started 20 years ago this month. Together, Joel and David track this iconic Aussie girl group's rise with the platinum-selling debut "Bardot" - including hits 'Poison' and 'These Days' - and their dramatic downsize to a four-piece within a year. The girls' slicker sophomore "Play It Like That" was a super fun treat with R&B-pop, disco, and UK garage flavours, but sadly it wasn't to last, as they split shortly after the release.

This episode also follows Scandal'Us, the series two mixed-group, that mirrored the UK's Hear'Say. From their ARIA Award-winning #1 smash 'Me Myself & I' to an infamous clash with their stylist... this group certainly lived up to their name. Joel and David celebrate their killer debut album "Startin' Somethin'" which certainly deserved more!

Stay home, pour yourself a glass of wine, and join us on this nostalgic Popstars trip Down HUNder!
