Emeran Mayer, MD, PhD, is a gastroenterologist, a neuroscientist, and an author. At UCLA, he serves as the executive director of the G. Oppenheimer Center for Neurobiology of Stress and Resilience and as the codirector of the Digestive Diseases Research Center.
