Last week we started chapter 9 and seeing the contrast of the physical Old Testament tabernacle and Christ and ended at verse 12 mentioning the blood of Christ and securing an eternal redemption.So the contrast is moving from the physical tabernacle and the priests' ongoing activity to the blood now. Those Old Testament sacrifices had an effect, they purified the flesh -but that was a temporary, external, and ceremonial cleansing.
