The author's message in 5:11 - 6:20, which is the third warning of the letter, is that the danger of defection must be avoided by persevering progress toward spiritual maturity. Then we reach the part of chapter 6 that is very debated to this day.  Can a Christian lose their salvation?  We have keep to the text in context.   On the surface, it sounds like the author is describing a Christian but if that's the case he is saying it would be impossible for a converted person to be restored again to salvation if he has committed what is in view here.  So, who is it referring to?
