This week on “Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia,” Lilian sits down with WWE Superstar, Otis. In his Chasing Glory DEBUT, find out the mindset of Otis recorded days before his HISTORIC Money In The Bank victory at WWE Headquarters. Otis talks all about what it’s like growing up in Wisconsin with a very strict upbringing. Unfortunately, he was bullied at a young age and also suffers from dyslexia but he shares all about overcoming those obstacles. He wasn’t without his struggles as an adult and speaks about the untimely death of his sister and how it affected him and his family. The experiences had led him to have a strong relationship with Jesus and a strong support system in the locker room. Otis shares how he got involved in amateur wrestling after thinking it was a pro wrestling school. He set his goals on being in the Olympics and was even mentored by Gold Medalist in Greco-Roman, Rulon Gardner who he considered family. Otis discusses what he’s learned from NOT making it on the Olympic team and why it’s important to create a vision as opposed to setting a goal. Find out how he met Gerald Brisco years before signing with the WWE and why he will always be a “Brisco Boy.” Being a WWE Superstar is a dream come true for Otis since he was such a huge fan, to the point where he tells the story about doing THE WORM at a school dance. It’s come full circle since one of his trainers was Scotty 2 Hotty who gave Otis his blessing to continue the move that is now known as The Caterpillar. Otis always talks about wrestling at the most unique environment of Wrestlemania 36 as well as what it was like to be in the Netflix film, The Main Event. All this and much more. It’s about to get real, raw, and inspiring with Otis.
