In July of 1979 a group of brazen and sophisticated thieves orchestrated one of New York’s largest, unsolved heists by hitting the most secure room in the state: The New York Transit Authority’s Money Room.The room contained millions of dollars in cash exchanged for subway tokens, picked up by special money trains throughout the city.
