Liverpool are closing in on a £27million move to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, making him their second transfer deal of the summer. The 29-year-old Spaniard was not an active target for the Reds until Monday when talks were opened, and the player is expected to be officially unveiled shortly. Liverpool.com's Joel Rabinowitz joins Blood Red's Matt Addison to react to the news, talking through how Thiago represents a change in approach for FSG, where the midfielder will fit into the starting XI, and what it means for Fabinho, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.The deal is NOT dependent on Gini Wijnaldum leaving the club, so Jurgen Klopp has plenty of midfield options to pick from as the Premier League champions enter the next stage of their evolution.
