Are you living in a pressure cooker? One of my all-time favorite meals is two-day slow-cooked ribs from a fancy restaurant, where the meat is so soft it falls right off the bone. (Sorry to my vegetarian and vegan friends who might not appreciate today's metaphor!)

I have an Instant Pot at home — a pressure cooker that produces a meal in mere minutes. Take stock about the work you’re doing and the path you’re taking: are you unnecessarily “cooking” your projects and goals with high-pressure settings, sacrificing quality in the process?

Today’s episode is about making sure that you’re spending time where you get the most joy and value, and being intentional about what you throw in the pressure cooker to complete quickly (and overcome perfectionism in the process).

🌟3 Key Takeaways:

Put your time and care into the projects that matter most, and try to be patient with yourself; as the Zen saying goes, “Nature doesn’t rush a flower.”

The glass could be half full or half empty, but is it the right container for what you want to drink? Don’t get so caught up in the details that you forget to ask if you’re going in the right direction.

Keep what Penney Peirce calls “an idea pantry” full of insights and nuggets that you can rummage through when you need to get something shipped quickly.

✅Next Action: Start a file or folder where you can collect ideas, inspirations, snippets, quotes and anything else you might want to revisit. When you need to create quickly, you’ll have a ready-made place to start thinking.
